Hi Tamara, in the beginning, please describe yourself in 5 words.
Professional, decisive, honest, extrovert, friendly, flexible.
How did the Security Specialist Academy fit into your future career plans?
The academy came by some coincidence, before it I was focused on something else.
When I started it, I was actively studying to fit into the Cyber world and the Academy that provided the foundation for it. Yes, many pieces came together after those 6 months – I got a job that fully matches what the academy taught me.
It remains the good foundation I got from Qinshift Academy for Cyber Security to expand to some next, higher level.
Favorite part of the classes?
I haven’t, it’s a cliché to say ‘all parts were my favorites’. I will remain at ‘I don’t have’, because the academy was an obligation, a responsibility, a job and there is no room for favorite, less favorite. We need to focus on tasks, on learning, on prosperity. Either way, I’m doing something I really love.
Did the work duties coincide with everything you learned at the Academy?
Yes, in full. In addition, I also work on data protection, which as a part certainly complements the Cyber experience, the work, the projects.
What does it mean to be a Security Specialist?
Being a Security Specialist means: hard work, exercises, learning, a different mindset, persistence, many hours in front of the computer, a lot of thinking, working on real projects, troubleshooting, a lot of reading, adding to the list of certificates in the field of Cyber Security – Qinshift Academy (former SEDC) offers passing three certificates after completing the Academy, development of a method for “how to protect ourselves and all that we virtually own”
Finally, a recommendation to future students of the Academy?
If you have already enrolled in this academy, make the most of it. Be active, ask questions, solve homework, discuss, work on the topic in depth for which the academy provides a foundation, and you should continue. You are there to learn, mentors are great and available and I think that should be taken advantage of.
Secure your spot at the Cyber Security Academy.
