Meet Paraskeva Doncheva – an alumnus of the software testing academy who started her career as a QA Engineer at RLDatix and joined the academy ‘s mentoring team! Read the full interview!

Hello Paraskeva, briefly introduce yourself

Hello, I’m Paraskeva Doncheva and to my great pleasure I have recently been employed as a QA Engineer. I worked as an English teacher for about fifteen years, but by nature I am a person who likes challenges, learning new things, especially in the field of technology, and that proactivity brought me to where I am now. By temperament I am quite energetic and tireless. I like to socialize and that’s how I recharge my batteries.

Where did the desire to enroll in the software testing academy come from?

The use of software for the administrative performance of work duties was an integral part of my everyday life as a professor. Over time, I noticed that finding bugs in their functionality, as well as wanting to suggest how things could work better by changing them, led me to want to be part of a team whose task would be to find quality software solutions that would satisfied the demands of the users. I had only heard good things about SEDC and knew without hesitation that the next step would be to enroll in a software testing academy right there.

You made a change in your career, how did SEDC help you in this process?

SEDC has played a key role in changing my career so far. There I acquired knowledge that was more than enough to start working in the software testing sphere, and the constant support and motivation that I received from the lecturers and assistants of the academy were an additional incentive for persistence and desire for success.

Where are you employed and on what position?

I got a job as a QA Engineer at RLDatix and I am honored that my beginnings and professional growth are exactly in a company like it.

What does it mean to you to be part of the mentoring team of the software testing academy ?

To be honest when I was offered to join the SEDC team as an assistant to one of the manual testing academy groups I was over the moon. This position is in a way a combination of my previous profession – professor and current software engineer, because I am again a part of someone’s education, and that is something I have been doing for years.

A message to future students:

Anyone who has enough dedication, discipline, persistence and enthusiasm will succeed in anything they imagine and desire. Don’t let the comfort zone, which seems like a positive side of what you are doing now, be an obstacle for you, but is actually a big brake for new challenges.
