Who is Bisera?

I am Bisera Petroska, I am 22 years old and I come from Skopje. Since recently I can say that I am a graduate student of the academy for web design and frontend in SEDC, after which I got the opportunity for a practical job at Netcetera, which I am currently doing. Considering that I have always enjoyed visually presenting the things I discuss, enrolling in this academy and intending to pursue my career in this industry was somehow a natural step for me.

As a current student at FINKI, what is the difference between the web design and front-end studies and academy?

– I would say that the basic and essential difference consists in the work on real projects, which the academy for web design and frontend offers. Adapting to the changing demands of clients, respecting other people’s opinions while working in a group, meeting deadlines, perseverance and patience are just some of the skills I have acquired, which I believe will be extremely important for the course of my professional career.

Which module do you think stands out in terms of what you want to do next?

– In terms of what I want to work on, I would choose the following as two modules: UX – because it puts emphasis on user requirements and creates an “output” that corresponds to them, and Vue.js – because it enables all the work that we have made it in UX to realize it and make it interactive for our users.

You worked as a team for the real projects of the academy, is teamwork a benefit for the students?

– My answer to this question is that I agree 100%. As a person who believes in synergy, ever since I found out that real projects will be worked in a group, I knew that it was a complete hit. In addition, since I became the leader of my team, I faced new and challenging situations (which I believe I managed to solve successfully) such as learning to organize different personalities of people to work towards a common goal, I learned how to understand that everyone works at their own pace, to use different techniques to motivate team members, etc.

Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years?

– In 3-5 years from now, I see myself with a rich and versatile portfolio, a supplemented and developed freelance profile on Fiverr, and working as a Team Lead of the UX sector in an IT company.

How would you encourage those interested in the web design academy at SEDC?

– If you want a new challenge, are willing to put in a lot of effort, prefer teamwork, and have at least a little aspiration towards design and frontend, then the web design academy at SEDC is the right choice for you.
