ANA JOVANOVSKA – MENTOR ON THE CYBER SECURITY ACADEMY

intervju so ana jovanovska - mentor na cyber security

We’re listening to K-Pop with Ana Jovanovska and chatting about Cyber Security. Ana is a mentor at the Cyber Security Academy and teaches Azure 104 and Azure 500.

Hello Ana. Although Cyber Security and Online privacy go hand in hand, would you like to publicly share something?

Hello, I’m Ana Jovanovska from Skopje. DevOps Engineer by day, mentoring students about DevOps and Cloud by night. When I’m not working, I draw or daydream about drawing.

While working, I listen to metal & K-pop. That’s my black-pink world.

What motivated you to start learning Azure, and then become an instructor?

I love teaching, the professor in me is strong. Cloud technologies are an inevitable part of DevOps daily life, so Azure came along with the job.

What’s the difference between Azure 104 and 500?

If you’re already working in IT and have basic knowledge of the terms, AZ104 is an excellent starting point for upgrading, once you’ve covered the basics of learning Azure services. Security of those services is always implied, but if you see yourself as an engineer more focused on learning security in the Cloud or Cyber Security, AZ500 enables just that.

Where do you learn and upgrade your skills every day?

Thanks to the availability of resources through interactive media, I follow daily what’s happening with the technologies, whether it’s social media, YouTube videos, courses (paid/free), people I follow on forums, technical books.
But I learn the most from my colleagues and myself when there’s a new challenge ahead of me that needs to be mastered.

What advice would you give to those who want to start studying Cyber Security?

To think at both higher and lower levels of a topic, to imagine scenarios that haven’t happened yet but are likely to happen, to be curious and learn every day.

What career and development paths does Azure offer, respectively the academy?

Learning Azure by itself is quite extensive and offers multiple career paths according to everyone’s preferences, whether it’s IT Support, SysAdmin, DevOps, Cloud, Cyber Security, Data, etc.

The Cyber Security Academy is the right choice if you consider online privacy crucial, want to learn how to help others protect themselves, or if you simply listen to metal and K-pop music.
